Film adaptation-Hunger Games

Significant Characteristics-Mockingjay
In the Mockingjay book there are many main elements in the story. Most of them are the setting, the capitol, district twelve and district thirteen. But also by events like the rebellion on the capitol and Peeta being hijacked. Even though there are many elements, I think that the two that the most important element is that Katniss has to be the "Mockinjay" . This means she has to be the face of the rebellion against the capitol. I think that this is the most important element because since Katniss narrates the story everything in the storyline revolves around it. For example, she has to deal with her mental and physical damage from the games. As well as having to deal with Peeta being in the Capitol and what he is saying about her. Being the mockingjay is also very hard for katniss because she doesn't understand why she has to do it. As well as not knowing the impact she could have on helping and inspiring the districts. The story goes on and they finally get Peeta back to district thirteen only to find out that he has been hijacked by the capitol. This makes it even harder for Katniss to be the mockingjay because she feels frustrated. She also feels like she does not really have anything else to live for anymore. Those are just some examples of why being the mockingjay is the main element in the story.
Character Traits- Catching Fire

The protagonist so far in catching fire is Katniss. Katniss is very considerate and caring, she shows this be always try to help everyone she can, even though she has so much wealth from winning the games. For example, when she brings Gale's family food. She also shows ambition by trying to convince everyone that they should run away into the woods to escape district 12 and the rebellion that is about to happen. So in conclusion, the protagonist in the story is Katniss who is considerate, caring and ambitious.
